Chlöe Bailey’s Jessica Rabbit Costume Is the Most Accurate I’ve Seen In Years—See the Photos

If Disney has plans to reboot 1988’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, I know exactly who they should cast as Jessica Rabbit: Chlöe Bailey.

Bailey paid homage to the animated wife of the titular Roger Rabbit for Halloween, and her recreation is one of the most faithful I’ve seen in a long time. (Remember Heidi Klum’s surrealist, ultra-exaggerated version at her 2015 Halloween party? Because I do.) Instead of leaning into the cartoon of it all, Bailey went full glamour girl with her look and it is perfection.

We gotta start with the hair, as Jessica Rabbit’s red hair is central to her character’s iconic look. Bailey wore a shiny auburn wig parted deeply to one side for the eye-obscuring, Veronica Lake-inspired style Jessica Rabbit is known for, with the mid-lengths styled in loose Old Hollywood waves. Jessica’s brows are tweezer-thin with an impossibly high arch, and Bailey sculpted her brows into a similar shape, likely by covering up her actual brows and drawing on a Jessica-style set or obscuring part of her brow. (Oh, the magic of makeup!) The singer and actor wore the same pale purple eye shadow as the animated vixen, brushed all the way up to the base of her brow and defined with a stroke of black eyeliner, and she finished off her glam with contoured cheeks and a super-shiny, glistening red lip.

The costume itself was also hyper-accurate, with Bailey wearing a strapless red sequined dress with a sweetheart neckline and hip-high slit, styled with elbow-length purple gloves. In one photo, Bailey poses with a retro-style microphone in hand, as though she’s ready to break into Jessica Rabbit’s “Why Don’t You Do Right?” at any minute.

Bailey actually teased this costume idea back in the summer, when she posed in a different strapless red dress and Y2K-style spiky bun and asked her Instagram followers if she should be Jessica Rabbit for Halloween. Clearly, the answer was a resounding “Yes please!”
