King Mohammed VI, along with Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, presided over an official reception held at the Place of the Prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq to commemorate the 26th anniversary of his accession to the throne. The event brought together a wide range of dignitaries from both the domestic and international spheres, highlighting the significance of this milestone in Moroccan history.

The ceremony began with a solemn salute to the national flag, followed by a 21-gun salute, symbolizing the nation’s respect and reverence for its monarch. This was then followed by a formal presentation of greetings from senior Moroccan officials, including leaders from the judiciary, council presidents, religious figures, and regional authorities.

Among the notable attendees were Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, House Speaker Rachid Talbi Alami, and the head of the Judicial Council, Mohamed Abdennabaoui. The King also welcomed top security and military officials, such as General Mohamed Berrid, Abdellatif Hammouchi, and Yassine El Mansouri. These individuals play key roles in maintaining the stability and security of the country.

In addition to domestic figures, representatives from major constitutional bodies and consultative councils, such as Amina Bouayach and Khalihenna Ould Errachid, were present. Their participation underscored the collaborative nature of governance in Morocco, where various institutions work together to support national development.

Foreign diplomats from Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas were also in attendance, offering their well-wishes and expressing appreciation for Morocco’s role on the global stage. Leaders from different religious communities, representing Christian, Muslim, and Jewish faiths, were present to show solidarity and respect for the King’s leadership.

One of the highlights of the event was the King’s meeting with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Moroccan Football Federation head Fouzi Lekjaa. This encounter emphasized the importance of sports in Moroccan society and the growing recognition of the country’s achievements in international competitions.

The ceremony concluded with the King honoring the women’s national football team for their remarkable performance in securing back-to-back finals in the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations. A commemorative photo with the players marked the end of the event, capturing the spirit of unity and pride that characterized the occasion.
