If you keep an eye on Kim Kardashian’s nails (and we do—it’s part of the job!), you’d know that she typically keeps things pretty simple. Kardashian is basically synonymous with short, milky pink nails; they’re her manicure comfort zone, if you will. However, for the opening of the Skims flagship store in New York City, Kardashian changed things up and found a way to wear Skims on her nails.
No, Kardashian didn’t apply that stretchy Fits Everybody fabric to each nail! Instead, she blended her favorite milk bath shade with some clever nail art to shout out her brand in a subtle way. Kardashian, a vocal member of Team Short Nails, went long for the night with almond-shaped nails in her preferred ultra-pale pink shade. The twist was that she added a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it touch of nail art—a very rare instance for the reality star and entrepreneur. A 3D version of the Skims logo was written all the way across her pointer finger, and her ring finger featured several smaller logos in the same 3D bubble texture all over the nail. Opening a store in the middle of NYC is a pretty big deal, and we love that Kardashian used her mani to shout it out.
