A Global Celebration of Health and Unity

The Mfantsiman Old Girls’ Association (MOGA) has announced the highly anticipated MOGA National Health Walk 2025, set to take place on Saturday, 2nd August 2025. This event is a significant milestone in the association’s calendar, bringing together alumnae from across the country and the diaspora for a day filled with physical activity, networking, and community spirit.

Under the theme “Purple Steps, Healthy Hearts, One MOGA,” this year’s health walk aims to promote wellness and unity among members while highlighting the importance of preventive health care. The event will be held simultaneously in all regional chapters, making it a truly global celebration of health and sisterhood.

A Unified Effort Across the Globe

This year’s health walk marks a new chapter for MOGA, showcasing its strength as a worldwide network of alumnae. The event is expected to draw over 500 participants, including old girls of Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School, their families, supporters, and affiliate institutions. The nationwide participation underscores the growing influence and reach of the association.

In Accra, the main event will start at 6:30 am at the University of Ghana Stadium Car Park. Regional chapters in Koforidua, Kumasi, Swedru/Winneba, Cape Coast, and Takoradi will also host their own health walks, ensuring that every member of the MOGA family can participate regardless of location.

Inclusive Participation and Collaborations

Several old student associations have been invited to join the health walk, including Adisadel College, Mfantsipim School, Wesley Girls, Holy Child, St Augustine’s College, Ghana National College, and Aggrey Memorial. This collaborative effort highlights the strong bonds between these institutions and their shared commitment to health and wellness.

The main event in Accra will feature a variety of activities designed to promote physical and mental well-being. Participants can expect a health walk around the University of Ghana campus, an aerobic workout session led by certified instructors, and comprehensive health screenings, including blood pressure, glucose level, and BMI checks. Interactive sessions with healthcare professionals will also be available, offering valuable insights into maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
