Gorgeous from the front, gorgeous from the back! The bob hit right at Union’s jawline and was styled in soft, flippy curls and waves similar to a ‘60s bob or the trending “French bob,” though the fitted column gown added a modern, futuristic touch. (The dress was inspired by the Empire State Building!) Union’s hair was parted to one side with the front portion curled to partially obscure one eye, adding to the retro bombshell feel. And we can’t ignore that volume and body! It’s basically the textbook definition of a bouncy bob and would be right at home in any decade.
Makeup artist Tasha Reiko Brown opted for “clean skin-focused beauty” with “whispers of peaches” on the star, including a subtle dusting of peachy blush on the apples of her cheeks and a similar shade on her lips, plus a long, fluttery lash. The head-to-toe glam feels like spring personified: the bob is cheerful and flirty and the makeup is fresh and soft.
Earlier this year, Union gave another shall-we-say retro bob a thoroughly modern makeover during Paris Fashion Week, when she put her spin on the asymmetrical “Posh bob,” paired with a sheer paneled dress. Short and sweet indeed!
