I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Hailey Bieber’s nails have been looking a little different these days. The model and Rhode founder, known for her signature “glazed donut” chrome manicures, still loves a wash of soft shimmer atop a simple mani, but lately, it seems like she’s been craving something way, way simpler. As in, almost nothing at all.
For the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, Bieber hit the red carpet in what may be her most naked manicure ever, with absolutely zero chrome in sight. The star wore a ruched black strapless Saint Laurent gown tied with a ribbon belt and paired it with a minimalist manicure. She stuck to her go-to rounded almond shape and medium length, but instead of a frosty white or pale pink chrome, Bieber chose the subtlest shade possible. At first glance, it looked like she wasn’t wearing anything on her nails, though if you zoom in for a closer look, you’ll see she’s definitely wearing at least a few coats of a sheer nude polish that matches her skin tone exactly, plus a soft, creamy ivory micro-French tip. (Oh, and some diamonds. You gotta have those.)
According to Zola Ganzorigt, Bieber’s manicurist, she used one coat of OPI’s Passion, a sheer nude-pink shade, then painted on the micro-French tips with Funny Bunny.
